Zeekr, the electric vehicle subsidiary of Chinese automaker Geely, launched its second production model on Tuesday, a six-seater multi-purpose vehicle with a luxurious design and large interior space, as the company hopes to expand its customer base. Equipped with CATL’s latest generation of battery packs, the premium version of the Zeekr 009 will have a driving range of 822 kilometers (511 miles). The starting price will be RMB 499,000 ($68,170) for the vehicle and delivery is set to begin next January. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, An Conghui, Geely’s president and Zeekr’s CEO, said the EV brand plans to sell its first consumer car, the 001 electric crossover, in Europe next year.
